Superintendent's Message

Welcome to Bartlett Independent School District, Home of the Bulldogs and Lassies! My name is Dr. Teddy Clevenger, and I am humbled and honored to serve alongside some of the best educators in the state of Texas, right here in Bartlett. I am proud to say that this is my 7th year to serve as the superintendent of schools, and I am excited for the bright future of Bartlett ISD.

We have so many great things going on in our district to include a few highlights; new cafeteria, new sports complexes, newly renovated junior high/high school, elementary renovation and expansion of classrooms, free college classes offered to 9th-12th graders, and 5 complete pathways for students to prepare them for college and career readiness. On top of that, we have some of the best teachers, coaches, support staff, and administration from all over the state of Texas, who all help to provide what I feel is the best education Central Texas can offer!

I have been married to my wife Stephanie for 20 years, and together we have 2 wonderful sons who attend Bartlett ISD, Kaiden who is a senior this year and Hudson who is a 7th grader this year. Kaiden is in the Texas Biotechnical Institute and will be receiving his associates degree before he graduates high school this year, and Hudson is starting athletics as a 7th grader and enjoying being a Bulldog! My wife is currently the president of the Bulldog Committee and FFA Boosters and we love to be involved serving the community and students. As a family we call Bartlett ISD our home and we are so blessed to be here with you all.

On top of being a proud superintendent, I also serve as a Deacon for the First Baptist Church of Bartlett where I also serve as a High School youth Pastor and take students from Bartlett and surrounding communities to church camp each summer. I am the Region 13 Director for the Texas Association of Rural Schools, and I am an elected official as the Chair for the Economic Development Board for Central Texas, at the Central Texas Council of Governments in Belton. I enjoy advocating on behalf of rural schools in Texas and have a great relationship with our state representatives at the Capitol in Austin.

Again, I am excited for the bright future of Bartlett ISD and if there is anything I can ever do to help out, or a way that I can better serve, please let me know. You can always come by the office, call, or email. My door is always open.

Wishing you all a very blessed school year this year!

Go Bulldogs and Lassies!!!
